Basic360 Profile

  • Provides your family with a shared vocabulary to think about planning
  • Identifies areas that the family rates as strengths and weaknesses
  • Stimulates thinking about new processes for strengthening future performance.
The Basic360 Profile will provide a snapshot view of your current family business planning performance.

Your personalized report will supply feedback on the 5 family and business factors of the Parallel Planning Process: values, vision, strategy, investment, and governance. If you are working through the 24 activities in the fieldbook, A Family Business on the Moon, we recommend you complete the Basic360 fairly early on in the process (it's Activity 5), so that you derive the maximum benefit from the remaining activities.

How it works ?

Our 360 Tool guides you through a step-by-step process to create comprehensive family and business profiles. By following the structured approach below, you’ll gain valuable insights and develop actionable strategies for your family business needs.

1

Set Up and Invite

The Facilitator logs in, selects the Basic360 Assessment from his or her Dashboard, invites the family members (Respondents) by providing their email addresses and name or nicknames.

The Basic360 Profile requires a minimum of three respondents with no maximum limit.

2

Check Your Mailbox

Invitations are emailed to each respondent who will have up to the expiry date determined by the Facilitator (up to a maximum of 90 days) to complete the assessment. The Facilitator can monitor the progress on his/her Dashboard and can add more respondents if needed.

3

Close & Review Feedback

The assessment takes under 20 minutes to complete, featuring 20 action statements across 10 family and enterprise dimensions—all based on the Parallel Planning Process. Rate each statement on a 1-4 scale, then reflect on 6 open-ended questions to guide family discussions and action planning.

4

Feedback and Action Planning

Once the assessment is closed, an Individual Feedback Report will be emailed to each respondent, showing the respondent's responses and how they compare to the rest of the family members who participated. A Facilitators Feedback Report (FFR) with the identity and responses of all respondents will be sent only to the Facilitator (the individual who initiated the assessment and invited the participants to the assessment).

The Facilitator should organise a family meeting to discuss the feedback and plan future actions together with the family.
